Background
The Locals was founded as community-driven organisation fostering intergenerational connections through storytelling, combating loneliness and isolation. The organisation needed help bringing the non-profit to life through a compelling brand strategy, memorable name, and engaging visual identity that would connect with local residents.
Brand Strategy
“Let’s converse” was our creative articulation of the brand. Together, we formed a new name The Locals; League Of Conversationalists And Lovers of Stories, conveying its core purpose in a fun and approachable tone for the community.
Visual Identity
We crafted a hand drawn L as a way to visualise the personality and humanity of the organisation. To communicate the conversation nature of the charity we created speech bubbles, a powerful device anyone can quickly understand. The speech bubble also works as a flexible element to localise each chapter in a personal and distinct way.
